OK, we're joking with you here, but the Ute elephant represents the strength of the aluminum extrusions used to build our Ute Bed®. Medium-sized beds are load-rated at 5,000 lbs, and large beds are load-rated at 8,000 lbs, roughly the weight of a small elephant. Ute Beds are built from aircraft grade T-6 aluminum.
